Sister Veronica Hagen

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sister Veronica Hagen. For many within the St Elizabeth's community, this will be a profound loss.

Sister Veronica was a member of the Daughters of the Cross and dedicated her life to St Elizabeth's, serving our community with unwavering commitment, compassion and faith for many decades. As a leader, teacher, mentor and friend, she helped shape the organisation we know today and touched the lives of countless children, young people, adults, families and colleagues.

She was a constant source of support and reassurance, steady in challenging times, generous with her time and deeply committed to the people around her. She led with quiet strength and genuine kindness, believing in others and encouraging them to achieve more than they thought possible.

Many of us will remember Sister Veronica not only for her remarkable achievements, but for the way she made people feel valued, supported and understood. Her vision transformed opportunities for people with special educational needs and disabilities, but her greatest legacy is the lasting impact she had on the people whose lives she touched. 

Her presence will be greatly missed, but her influence will continue to be felt throughout St Elizabeth's for generations to come.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family, the Daughters of the Cross, and all those who knew and loved her.
