Set within the stunning scenery of the Brecon Beacons National Park, Christ College was founded in 1541 by Henry VIII and every pupil proudly bears the ‘h’ logo that links the current members of the school with the founder.

Our school motto which is translated into English from Latin, means ‘They achieve because they believe they can’ and this remains as true of today’s pupils as it has been throughout the history of the school; developing personal confidence and the willingness to take on new experiences and challenges are among the core aims of the school.

One of the most special things about Christ College is the warmth of the welcome here and the quality of relationships between pupils and staff in its Junior and Senior Schools. Our community is a small, caring and compassionate one, where pupils learn to value kindness and service to others.

Our dedicated teachers are committed to far more than helping our pupils achieve their academic potential, they are also passionate about their character development, encouraging them to achieve their goals and to grow into confident and accomplished adults.

03-10-2026 - Open Morning

The best way to get to know Christ College is to come along to one of our Open Events.

During your visit you will have the opportunity to meet our Head, Gareth Pearson along with other key members of staff. There will be talks from the Head, Deputy Head Pastoral and Deputy Head Academic on school life. You will hear from our pupils about their experience at Christ College whilst touring our extensive grounds and facilities. And of course you will enjoy a range of delicious refreshments provided by our caterers Holroyd Howe.

15-10-2026 - Sixth Form Information Evening

Our Sixth Form Evening in October is a great opportunity to discover more about A Level subject choices, meet our teachers as well as current Sixth Form students.

During your visit you will have the opportunity to meet our Head, Mr Gareth Pearson along with our Heads of Department and Subject Leaders. You will hear from our pupils about their experience in Christ College Sixth Form, enjoy a talk from our Head and Deputy Head Academic on A Level studies and learn more about the subject options available from our Heads of Department during the academic presentations.
