Jennie is renowned for her pop-up books and textile designs and pupils were enchanted to see all the examples of work that she brought in to show them.Year 13 art student Jessica Evans (who is going to Bournemouth University Arts College to do a Foundation Course in Art and Design in September) said: 'The talk was incredibly informative and gave me an insight into what it was like to work as a professional illustrator and the sketchbooks were amazing.'
Jennie commented: 'It was an absolute pleasure spending time with the very talented sixth formers, I hope their enthusiasm lasts well after leaving HCS, their work really was outstanding.'
Jennie studied illustration at Central St Martin's School of Art and Design and graduated in 1993.
