Grace Qualifies for British Biathlon Championships

On 19 October Grace Nolan, a Year 5 student at Malvern St James Girls' School, competed in the West Midlands Regional Biathlon Championships under 10 age group at Tudor Grange Academy in Solihull. In a very competitive field Grace managed to achieve an impressive 3rd place and a points total of 2372, currently placing her in 10th position out of 304 in the British Modern Biathlon Championships ranking list.

This excellent result secured Grace an automatic qualifying place for the British Modern Biathlon Championships in Solihull on 29 November, where she competed as an independent athlete and finished in 5th place, increasing her points total to 2510. It was a very close competition as only 150 points separated the top 5 positions.
Grace has also qualified for the British Schools Modern Biathlon Championships at the Olympic Park Aquatics centre in London next March, where she will represent MSJ.
