Her mother Di Walton said, “Everyone always assumes it’s all about the sport with Lucy, but MSJ has always without question provided so much academic support alongside, giving her the flexibility to pursue her sporting career. Yesterday she retained the championship and today a set of results like this!” Lucy said “I’m shocked and thrilled. It just shows how the hard work has paid off. I’m very excited to be going into the Sixth Form at MSJ.” Twins Lucinda and Georgina Hobden from Ledbury both achieved high grades with Lucinda receiving 12 A* and Georgina 9 A*. Their mother Helen said “We’re delighted with these results. They’ve achieved what they both worked so hard for. Georgina scored 100% in 8 of her papers! An A* isn’t the be all and end all though; it is so important to have wider skills not just brilliant academic results. MSJ has always encouraged the girls both to study and to pursue extra-curricular interests. It has been a place where they are very comfortable being bright.” Emily Walker from Birtsmorton gained 6A* and 4A grades. Her father Chris Walker said “It’s a fantastic achievement. We’re so pleased with the school. They realised that she had the potential and MSJ is the just the place for Emily to achieve all that she is capable of.” Patricia Woodhouse, Headmistress, commented, “There is so much to be proud of today; the girls’ achievements are further testament to our aspirational culture where each and every student is allowed to pursue her personal best. We wish these young women ongoing success as they continue into our Sixth Form, following in the footsteps of this year’s Upper Sixth leavers and, before they know it, on to their own spectacular University destinations.”
