New Girls' House at Dean Close School

Congratulations to English Teacher, Kate Miller, who has been appointed Housemistress of the newly formed Hatherley House, open from September 2011. Centrally located, Hatherley House will initially accommodate 38 day girls and will span all year groups from Fourth Form to Upper Sixth. It is the ninth House at Dean Close which already has 2 girls' boarding, 3 boys' boarding, two boys' day and one girls' day house.

Kate has extensive pastoral experience within School and comments, 'A great House is all about enthusiasm, participation, mutual encouragement and support, with staff nurturing the girls and helping them to get the very best from their time at school. And we mean to start strong!'
