Chafyn Grove raises money for the Gurkha Welfare Trust

There were a number of fundraising activities during the spring term for our chosen charity, the Gurkha Welfare Trust, including the sale of GWT wristbands and some fantastic charity discos. There were three separate discos – one for the Pre-prep department, one for years 3, 4 and 5 and one for years 6, 7 and 8. These were extremely well attended and all the children really enjoyed themselves. A group of Chafyn Grove children visited the GWT offices this week to deliver a cheque for £1,474.91 which was gratefully received by the Gurkha Welfare Advisors Hum, Pushpa and Nirmal.
