Bringing History to Life at Bedford Prep School

Bedford Prep School Year 7 boys were transported back to the time of the English Civil Wars on Tuesday 13 March, when Kevin Hicks of The History Squad joined them for a series of entertaining and educational sessions to investigate this exciting period of history. Kevin introduced the boys to the world of fighting in the English Civil Wars. With the opportunity to handle the weaponry and armour used by soldiers, his presentation brought to life the tragedies and triumphs of that era of history. Each session was brought to a dramatic end with the firing of a matchlock musket, which was very loud indeed!
