School Achievement Mosaic

In the summer of 2013 we joined a project involving local community groups and schools. As part of this, we were invited to design a mosaic related to Robert Ogden School. Children in Group 1 worked to produce a template for the design, which was a rewarding process of much discussion and debate. Once we had our template, all the children in the school worked on making the mosaic. We were lucky to have the help of a professional mosaic maker, Frances Taylor, who has many years of experience of running mosaic courses and workshops. She helped our children to work together to make an amazing piece of art. Our mosaic shows a big tree surrounded by animals and flowers. It is proudly on display outside the school and will eventually be placed in our local community.
