Norfolk is a mostly rural county in East Anglia, it has a long stretch of coastline which opens the county up to the North Sea. Inland, the county borders Lincolnshire to the north west, Cambridgeshire the the south west and Suffolk to the south.

The name Norfolk derives from the 5th century when the Angles occupied the region. East Anglia was split into different sections very similar to the ones we know today, those living in the north became known as the “north folk” and those living in the south became the “south folk” - hense Norfolk and Suffolk!
