Brooke House is a residential, co-educational College. Academic demands are high and the work exacting but the atmosphere is pleasant and informal, preparing students for both the responsibilities and freedoms of university and adult life.
Tuition is in small groups with an average of eight students in a class. A wide range of A-levels are offered, both two year courses and one year re-take courses. One year and two year GCSE courses are provided in up to ten subjects. Private study takes place under supervision to enable students to gain maximum benefit from their courses. Progress is also monitored regularly by interviews with senior staff. Students undergo assessments on a regular basis and parents receive reports each half term.
A one-year University Foundation Course in a variety of subjects and EFL courses are available.
There are residential places for approximately 90 girls and 90 boys and the college also accepts day students.
Brooke House is a large, elegant Georgian mansion standing in grounds of almost two acres. The facilities, apart from tutorial rooms, include the students' private study rooms, common rooms, laboratories, art complex, launderette and recreation building which caters for table tennis, pool and television. Wireless internet facilities are provided throughout the College.
The College is situated in Market Harborough, Leicestershire. It is an hour by train from London, and very close to the M1 and M6 motorways.
Brooke House is Recognised as Efficient by the British Accreditation Council, is a member of CIFE (the Conference for Independent Further Education), and is registered with the Department of Education.
