Ronan Busfield gives a singing master class to LWC boys

LWC welcomed operatic tenor and ex-student of the College, Ronan Busfield, to give a singing master class to some of the male students. This was a wonderful opportunity for all of the male singers at the College to receive some valuable tuition from a man with vast experience in the industry. A wide range of year groups were represented on the evening, ranging from the 1st Form through to the 6th Form! Each performed one of their pieces to Ronan, who then provided some insightful advice which resulted in noticeable improvements in quality for all the performers.

Interspersed with each of the soloists performances, Ronan treated the audience to amusing and informative tales of his time as a student at the College and how he became a professional singer following his Music degree as a choral scholar at Oxford University. To finish, Ronan gave a recital showcasing some of his own repertoire, performing some Bernstein, Gilbert and Sullivan and Donizetti, highly contrasting pieces which truly demonstrated his diversity as a singer. U6th performer, Chris Stanton said, It was a highly enriching experience to receive advice from a true expert of the voice.
