A Record Number of Oxbridge Offers for Caterham School Students

Twenty one Caterham School students were celebrating this week as they received offers of places from Oxford and Cambridge Universities. The subjects show a very wide variety of interests eg Natural Science & Physics, Maths, Classics, Economics, Engineering, Medicine, Chemistry, Physics, Geography, French & Latin, Chemical Engineering and Ancient & Modern History.

Headmaster Julian Thomas said: 'I am delighted for these students who worked so hard to secure places at these two excellent universities. They have done well to come through a five month application process which ends with those notoriously challenging interviews at the universities themselves. Our Prep School staff were delighted to see that eight of the successful applicants came through from the Prep School seven years ago. All of our talented Oxbridge applicants this year, including those that unfortunately did not secure a place, did themselves great credit and deserve huge congratulations. The UCAS process has not yet concluded but it is great to see that so many of our students have received offers from their chosen universities already.'
