New Pre-Prep Development

Since 1974, Newland House Pre-Prep has been based at a detached site from the Prep school in a traditional, adapted Victorian property at the end of Waldegrave Park. Following the decision by the Board of Governors in October, Newland House Pre-Prep will be moving into brand new premises immediately adjacent to the Prep School on Waldegrave Park in the Summer of 2016.

Uniting the two parts of the school for the first time in forty years will facilitate a natural and seamless transition for younger pupils as they progress through the school and provide an opportunity for the whole school community to enjoy the shared benefits that unity will bring.

The development will:

•Achieve BREEAM excellence and include sustainable solutions to maximise natural daylight and ventilation, renewable energy and materials sourced in a sustainable manner.
•Provide a highly sustainable educational facility, which will be both sympathetic to the neighbouring architecture and employ leading sustainable design whilst integrating contemporary materials. It will provide pupils with an innovative and unique learning environment that utilises the latest technology.
•The new Pre-Prep will provide pupils with an innovative and unique learning environment that utilises the latest technology.
•Unite the two parts of the school and also facilitate a natural and seamless transition for younger pupils as they progress through the school and provide an opportunity for the whole school community to enjoy the shared benefits that unity will bring.
•Provide additional places for entry into Reception in September 2016 onwards.
