Culford Hall had a party atmosphere on Friday 8 May as excited crowds of students gathered in a packed Centenary Hall to watch the annual Culford Rock Concert C:2015 in aid of music based charity Nordoff Robbins. The concert was produced entirely by pupils and enhanced by professional lighting in the recently refurbished Centenary Hall. Pupils, parents and staff alike commented on the high standard of musical performance. Culford’s Director of Music, Peter Burge, said “C2015 showcased some fantastic bands and singers from the Senior School. With acts perfected during a series of House Concerts last term the standard of performance was very high. More than £1,000 was raised for charity so a big thank you goes to everyone who took part.” As well as a great night out, C2015 raised funds for Nordoff Robbins, the UK's leading private provider of music therapy services. They deliver thousands of music therapy sessions per year in care homes, day centres, hospitals, schools and in their own centres, helping to transform the lives of vulnerable adults and children. Culford offers scholarships and exhibitions to talented musicians for entry to the school at ages 11, 13 and 16.
