Students from ACS Egham celebrated the end of an era at their graduation ceremony, attended by over 400 well-wishers, including family members, teachers and friends. The 47 students, aged 17-18 years, have just completed the International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme, an extremely rigorous internationally recognised pre-university qualification. Students were awarded the High School Diploma for which they earned credits while studying the IB throughout High School. Richard Naylor, High School Principal, commented: “I am extremely proud of the class of 2015, which has achieved so much at ACS Egham. It is wonderful to see these students celebrating their time at ACS together and to share their sense of enjoyment as they graduate.” The inspirational guest speaker at the graduation ceremony was Ray Edwards, MBE. Ray, himself a quadriplegic, is the founder of charity Limbcare, which supports limb-impaired individuals worldwide. Student speakers included Carter Brace, the longest enrolled student from the senior class (15 years), and Molly Kelly Lewis, elected by the class of 2015 to speak on their behalf. Gabriela Kopernicka and Carlotta Fack, who are the two highest achieving students throughout ACS Egham’s IB Diploma programme, also gave a joint celebratory speech. Gabriela commented: "I feel very fortunate to have been part of the ACS community over the past few years: I have made many friends here and learned so much, and believe that ACS Egham has prepared me well for whatever challenges lie ahead.”
