Over the half term break, Grace Nolan, a Year 6 student from Malvern St James Girls’ School, successfully competed in three events at the annual Worcester Open Swimming Gala. Grace scooped a full collection of medals, winning Gold in the age ten 200m Freestyle, Silver in the 400m Freestyle and Bronze in the 50m Backstroke. To complete a busy week, Grace also took part in the West Midlands Biathlon Championships in Solihull. Once again she put in some great performances, winning the 50m Freestyle swim for her age group in a personal best time of 35.64 seconds and achieving second place in the 800m run in a personal best time of 2 minutes 45 seconds. With her impressive points total of 2636, Grace was awarded a Silver medal and automatically qualifies for the British Modern Biathlon Championships at the end of the month. We are delighted to announce that Grace is now 2nd for her age group on the British Biathlon rankings list and wish her the very best of luck in the Championships.
