Talented students at ACS Cobham International School recently staged ‘The Beeple’ to impressed family, friends and the school community. The nine to 13 year-old performers took on the comedy by Alan Cullen and created the fantasy world of Hex, a kingdom of bees and insects. Through vibrant costumes and colourful scenery, students took audiences on a journey through the imaginary world of bees. Alongside the 31 actors and actresses, two students also undertook backstage technical roles, ensuring the production ran smoothly and enhancing the show with lighting, sound and staging. Margaret Prior, Middle School drama teacher at ACS Cobham and director of the production, commented: “I’m very proud of all of the students who have been working hard for weeks. It was wonderful to see the final piece with full props, costume, and scenery, not forgetting the fantastic performance skills from our students!”
