The final school event of the calendar year took place at Radley College in Oxfordshire. There were over 60 children playing from 25 schools across the UK with anyone from Year 9 or below able to enter. Lowen was first of the Millfield pupils and played brilliantly in the morning to score 21 points. Sam was next in and played an excellent front nine scoring 29 points which left him in a tie for 10th overall at the halfway stage. Freddie also finished on 29 to join Sam in a tie for 10th with Patience shooting an excellent 32 points (4 over gross) to sit in joint 3rd place. In the afternoon, Sam and Lowen finished strongly with 15th place in the team competition. Patience played brilliantly finishing with a birdie to shoot 1 over par gross and score 35 points. This secured Patience a 2nd place finish, 1 point behind the winner, playing against boys and girls from a year above! Freddie was next to come in and also improved on his morning round to score 30 points to help the team finish in a tie for 2nd place just 3 points behind the overall winners. In a Year 9 competition the pupils excelled and it was a great way to finish the season before the hard work that lies ahead, over the winter months, before the next tournaments kick off in March.
