ACS Egham’s school choirs joined 7,500 students from across the UK to perform at the O2 Arena in the “largest children’s choir concert in the world”. Since it began 20 years ago, over two million children have taken part in a Young Voices concert, inspiring the next generation to find their love of music and performance. ACS Egham students have been performing with Young Voices with sell-out crowds enjoying the choir’s wall of sound. Mags Grace, Lower School Music Coordinator at ACS Egham International School, commented: “The performance by our choir and all the students at Young Voices was sensational, and hearing so many young voices singing in unison was breath-taking. Performing at the O2 Arena, where musical stars such as Prince, Beyoncé and Bruno Mars have graced the stage, was inspiring for our students.” Students sang with a full seven-piece live band made up of some of the UK’s leading musicians, backing singers, and the internationally acclaimed conductor, David Lawrence. This year’s performance also featured a range of professional artists including soul singer Natalie Williams; West End and acapella vocal harmony group, The MAGNETS; and sixteen-year-old singer-songwriter, Alfie Sheard.
