LWC Equestrian Team Qualify For Hickstead

On Saturday 26th November six of our equestrian team went to the Berkshire College of Agriculture to compete in team and individual show jumping. Our riders were Lucie C, Izzy C, Alice R, Will A, Pippa K and Bella J. As a group they competed in 4 jumping classes ranging from 70/75cm up to 1/1.05m.

The highlight of the trip was our 80/85cm team of Lucie C, Izzy C, Will A and Alice R, being the highest placed school in Hampshire and gaining a qualification to compete at Hickstead in May 2023 at the Inter-County Championships. In addition to qualifying as part of the team, Will A has also qualified as an individual at 90/95cm; this means he was the highest placed rider from Hampshire in this class.

To qualify for the Inter-County Championships at Hickstead is a fantastic achievement. Only one school from each county can qualify in a class. This was a very competitive show which lots of other schools had entered so we are incredibly proud of our riders and their achievements.
